GW2 Living World access changed: check your account before buying

ArenaNet changed Living World access on 13 October 2026. Returning players should check their unlocked content before buying anything.
What is included now?
- Seasons 1 and 2: part of the base game; Season 2 is available to level-80 characters.
- Seasons 3 and 4: included with Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire.
- The Icebrood Saga: included with End of Dragons.
Existing owners of the relevant expansions receive missing episodes automatically. Living World seasons are no longer sold individually.
Before you spend
Open your Story Journal and compare the episodes you can access with your next goal. Separate expansion access from crafting materials: buying a tradeable item does not unlock a story episode, mastery or account-bound requirement.
Use the official store associated with your account platform when checking bundles. Compare what you already own rather than assuming a larger bundle is automatically the best option.
