GW1 Reforged dungeons in 2026: access, heroes and new chest rewards
Reviewed: 24 October 2026. GW1 received new Prophecies dungeon content during 2026. The two entry routes belong to different stages of the campaign.
Pre-Searing: introduced 1 April
- Play in Reforged mode and complete Bastion in the North.
- Travel through the Northlands to Piken Square.
- Speak to Mullenix to begin the dungeon quest chain.
The dungeon becomes repeatable after completion. Reforged characters can unlock Devona as a hero by completing it, or by speaking to her in Lion's Arch. That second route is outside pre-Searing.
Post-Searing: introduced 28 April
- Use Reforged mode and complete Althea's Ashes.
- Travel through the Breach toward Piken Square.
- Find Ghost of Althea in the Breach to start the new quest chain.
Characters from all campaigns can take part once they can reach the area. Completing this post-Searing dungeon unlocks Ghost of Althea as a hero for Reforged characters. The dungeon is called Tunnels of the Forsaken.
More rare rewards arrived in July
The 29 July update added new miniature and unique-item rare rewards to the end chests in Underworld and Fissure of Woe. These are separate from the new Prophecies dungeons. The update note does not promise a guaranteed drop or a fixed drop rate.
For returning characters, confirm the current game mode and quest prerequisites first. The original April notes described an Alpha build; that historical label is not a statement about the mode’s current development status.
